Emergency Treatment and Transport

Subscription Plan

For the past 30 years Morgan County Ambulance Service has maintained a self supporting status. The ambulance service, an independent department within the county government, is a not for profit enterprise and does not receive outside funding (i.e. tax dollars).  They rely solely on the users of the service to offset their annual budget. 

 

With rapidly increasing costs in health care, cuts in your auto insurance coverage for medical expenses, and declining reimbursements by insurance companies, we’re occasionally forced to increase our fees to offset expenditures making an ambulance trip a very expensive and unexpected burden.

 

To ease the pain and hardship these fees can create we’ve created an opportunity for the residents of Morgan County which eliminates out of pocket expenses!

 

As part of a fund raiser used to counterbalance the ambulance services budget, we offer a subscription membership. A small annual donation of not more than $50.00 will enroll you and your family in our program.  In the event of an emergency, your membership will save you hundreds of dollars in out of pocket expenses not covered by insurance.  For one year, no matter how many times you need the ambulance; we will bill your insurance company and accept their payment for any emergent “medically necessary” ambulance transport as payment in full.  We also have a plan for those without insurance.  

 

The annual enrollment commences September 1 and runs through October 31 for the following year. Enrollment after October 31 is assessed an additional $10.00 clerical fee. Memberships are not retroactive, non-refundable and are not prorated.

 

Remember…… emergencies and accidents can happen without warning to anyone, at any time in any situation. By subscribing to this program, you’re not only providing for yourself and your loved ones but you’re helping Morgan County Ambulance Service continue to provide the advanced emergent care we all deserve.

Guidelines for MCAS Emergency Transport Membership

 

Enrollment Costs:                         

Option #1                                       Single membership                                      $35.00 per year

 

Option #2                                       Family membership                                     $50.00 per year

Option #2A                                    Add non-dependent adult                         $15.00/person per year

 

Option #3                                       Single senior membership (age 55)          $25.00 per year

Option #3A                                                                                                          ($40.00/couple)

 

Option #4                                       Business membership                                  $75.00 per year

                                                                                                  Plus ………..     $2.00/ person

Option #4A                                    Employee of an enrolled business

                                                        may join under Option #1 or #2

                                                        and receive a $10.00 discount

 

Option #5                                       Long distance transfer option                    Additional $10.00/person

 

Option #6                                       Uninsured Single Membership                             $50.00

 

Option #6A                                    Uninsured Family Membership                            $75.00
